Crying Meri book needs your support!

Dear friends, today is my Birthday and the best present for me would be if you could contribute to my Crying Meri book. I’ve been working on this project for more than two years, trying to expose violence against women in Papua New Guinea, a country with one of the highest rates of violence in the world. I’ve spent a lot of my time and money to make this project happen and now I need your help more than ever.
Today, February 6th, is the one year anniversary of the brutal murder of Kepari Leniata, a 20-years old women who was accused of sorcery and burned alive in Mount Hagen town while a crowd was watching. No one helped her. My “Crying Meri” book will be provide documentary evidence of these types of crime that happen everyday in Papua New Guinea, a place that lies beyond the reach of media attention.
Please help me to publish this book by contributing to the project or preordering a printed copy. If everyone of you contributes just 10 dollars this book will be published!
Thank you!

Crying Meri by Vlad Sokhin

Banil came to the Antenatal Clinic of Port Moresby after having been sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The day after their separation, her former partner came to her parents’ house and threatening her with a knife, dragged Banil to a bush area. There he beat her and raped her. Banil’s father managed to find his daughter lying unconscious on the ground and brought her to the hospital.
